Eric Frydman
Associate | Employment Lawyer
Eric Frydman is an employment lawyer at Achkar Law, which advises and represents employers across Ontario and British Columbia. Eric works with employers on the everyday and high-stakes parts of managing a workforce, including employment contracts and agreements, workplace investigations, and terminations, dismissals, and layoffs. He also acts for employees, which gives him a practical read on how workplace disputes tend to unfold from both sides.
Before joining Achkar Law in 2025, Eric earned his dual J.D. and M.B.A. from Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business, after graduating summa cum laude from York University. He has been called to the Ontario Bar and is a member of the Law society of Ontario.
Eric is the Founder and President of Jewish Lawyers of Canada, a national legal organization focused on community engagement, advocacy, education, and professional connection. Through that work he has helped bring together lawyers, judges, Members of Parliament, and community leaders.
Eric approaches employment law as work that is deeply personal for the people involved. A job is rarely just a paycheque, it is tied to dignity, stability, and security, and that holds true for the businesses building a team as much as for the individuals on it. He focuses on helping clients understand where they stand, make informed decisions, and resolve workplace issues in a fair and practical way.
Outside the office, Eric enjoys exploring Toronto’s neighbourhoods, trying new restaurants, cooking, cycling, and travelling, and he is an avid reader of history, politics, and current events.
