Christopher Achkar is the founder and managing partner of Achkar Law. He works with both employees and employers regarding all their employment law needs, including human rights and business litigation issues.
He represents clients at multiple levels of court, including tribunals such as the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
Christopher also practices in corporate and commercial litigation and disputes, including shareholder agreements, contract disputes, construction law, liens, incorporations, compliance, and other business law issues.
He worked and continues to work with some of the top law firms and legal professionals, and has experience working at the Federal Court of Appeal.
Christopher is on the Board of Directors of Beyond Reasonable Doubt Community, a non-profit organization that helps spread legal awareness and access to justice. He also serves as a member of the Board of Cabbagetown Community Arts Centre, that helps provide music lessons to families with limited resources.
In his free time, Christopher enjoys engaging in sports, such as rugby, golf, and swimming. He also has a flair for music and enjoys playing the piano, guitar, violin, saxophone and drums.
